Top tip: to avoided added sugar for younger babies, use homemade chia seed jam, or mashed fruit in place of shop bought jam
Ingredients
-2 slices of bread
-1 egg
-1 tbsp milk
-1 tbsp jam
- pinch of ground cinnamon
Method
-Remove the crusts of the bread, and use a rolling pin to flatten the slices as much as possible
-Spread a thin layer of jam onto each slice, before rolling up from the short edge of the bread
-In a bowl add the egg, cinnamon and milk, and whisk to thoroughly combine
-Dip the roll ups in the egg mixture, making sure that each side is covered
-Fry in a little butter over medium heat, turning them regularly, until the outsides are golden brown
-Allow to cool before serving to baby, to avoid hot jam in the centre!
